An Airline for Pets: The Cargo Hold is History

Have you ever considered taking your dog with you on vacation? I once drove down to San Diego, CA, for a quickie vacation and before we left I did my due diligence and found an affordable dog-friendly hotel to stay at. I also researched all dog-friendly activities in the area and we really had a marvelous weekend enjoying dog-beaches, while having our own time away from the pups as well. The dogs were fine when we left them inside the hotel room when we went in the evenings, or when we simply chose activities that excluded the dogs for a while. It was the first sensation I had ever had of my vacation being based around what the dogs wanted, which gave me the outlook of a real, live daddy.

What if you go to a destination that requires flying, but you don’t have the heart to keep your pet in the cargo hold? After all, this could be a traumatic experience for the animal if they are not put out completely throughout the flight. Enter Pet Airways: an airline just for pets. Directly on their website they declare:
“Your Pet is not luggage. On the airlines, your pet is shipped
in cargo. On Pet Airways, your pet travels in the
main cabin, transported with care and love

Support A Charity with Every Purchase

Supporting charities are an important part of today’s business culture when it comes to progressive companies looking to give back to their communities by offering win-win opportunities for both their clients and customers. More specific to dealwagger.com, when a business designs a deal to be broadcast on our website, we are proud to give them the option of supporting a charity of their choice (animal-charity or other such as a battered women’s shelter). Furthermore, we are committed to dedicating a percentage of the profits per deal, out of our own pocket, to a charity of our deal-partner’s choice.
We hope that giving our deal-partner (the company running a deal via dealwagger.com) the option of supporting a charity of their own choice will encourage a stronger relationship between all parties involved. These parties include our deal-partner, the charity organization, dealwagger.com, and most importantly: our customers. If each of these parties come together to design and take advantage of some really worthwhile deals on pet products and supplies, the difference we can make is almost immeasurable. The amount of lives that could be affected positively, by each simple deal, could really prove to be world-changing.
I will leave you with a piece of knowledge that a very holy man passed on to me in Jerusalem a couple years back. Do you know what the only element in existence is, that when you give of it, you do not lose anything? Take a moment to ponder this. If you have already given up, here is the answer: Fire. When we light a candle for example, we are able to pass that flame on to others and light their candles without losing our own flame. That is the beauty of the system we will incorporate via dealwagger.com. Our goals are to a) save customers money and provide their pets with quality products, b) offer an increase in exposure and sales to business merchants who become deal-partners, c) give an opportunity for everyone to support charities in need, d) create community by sharing resources and ideas among one another.
There is really no losing with dealwagger.com and we cannot wait to show you what we have in store for you an your pets come December. Stay tuned for our official launch TBA and if you know of a company who is interested in running a deal via dealwagger.com or if you are interested yourself, feel free to email us with any information at info@dealwagger.com. If a company that you refer ends up designing a deal via dealwagger.com, you will be rewarded with a complimentary gift or dealwagger.com reward points that can be used toward future purchases.

We appreciate your readership and interest in improving the quality of life of you and your pet’s, which is exactly our mission at dealwagger.com. Please feel free to follow/”like” us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/dealwagger and sign-up for our newsletter where we share worthwhile resources, contest freebies, and epic daily pet deals on quality pet products and services both locally and nationally shipped to your door. Top 5 Pet Safety Tips for Thanksgiving

We got through Halloween in one piece, folks, and now its time to prepare for the next culprit on this list: Thanksgiving. Its easy to lose focus of our pets because we have guests over for dinner, have tons of preparation work to attend to, and dogs will find their way around the table to beg for scraps from anyone with a soft spot in their heart for a sad puppy-dog face. But the truth is, our guests could unknowingly be hurting our pets by feeding them the wrong foods altogether.

Here are your Top 5 Pet Safety Tips for Thanksgiving.
            1. NO BONES about it: it is a fact that poultry bones can splinter and cause obstructions in your pet’s digestive system.
           2. TURKEY?  Don’t forget that raw or undercooked turkey can harbor salmonella, which can cause the same disastrous gastrointestinal affects in our pets as it does in us.
           3. ONIONS & GARLIC: Onions and garlic contain the toxic ingredient thiosulphate which may cause haemolytic anaemia, where the pet

Lonely for the Holidays? Foster a Lonely Pet

Sure, the holidays are cozy and warm and smell nice like those cinnamon pine cones I buy at Bed Bath and Beyond every year.  Unfortunately, the holidays are not that way for everyone. There are overcrowded shelters in every city and those animals are not having such a jolly holiday season. If you have the means this holiday season, we encourage you to foster an animal from a shelter or rescue group and share your love with something greater than yourselves. This holiday season, open your heart and your home. Honestly, if you yourself are feeling lonesome during the holidays, what better company could you find than a furry ball of joy?

Petfinder.com has started a program called “Foster a Lonely Pet“, as they have compiled a list of shelters in rescue groups across the United States so anyone could contact an organization nearest you in order to foster a pet during this holiday season. You can even view a gallery of the pets in need of fostering. Petfinder.com really has a plethora of resources starting with the decision to become a foster-parent to preparing your home and other animals for a foster pet. They even touch on subjects such as how to handle health concerns that may arise while you are fostering.
I can tell you from my own experience, fostering a pet is extremely gratifying and knowing that you have given that animal a break from difficult conditions and opened your heart to loving it is special feeling. If you are the type that becomes attached easily, I do understand your hesitations. After all, eventually, I kept one of the dogs that I fostered. But, I did foster around 8 dogs before him. When you find one that just fits your lifestyle, you will just know.

In honor of the animals that I have fostered personally here are the pictures I took of some of the animals during our foster time together.
